THE COMPANY WARRANTS INDEPENDENTLY THAT THEY WILL MAKE GOOD FREE OF CHARGE, ANY FAULTS WHICH ARE A RESULT OF FAULTY MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP AS ESTABLISHED BY THE COMPANY, TO A PERIOD OF FIFTEEN YEARS FROM THE DATE OF COMPLETION AND/OR RECEIPT OF FULL PAYMENT.
Of course one of the most important factors to consider before placing your business will be your guarantee. You may be aware that the installation of Tarmac or Brick paving by builders will usually come with only a 1 years guarantee, so our guarantee of ten times longer should be fully appreciated. We are able to offer the longest guarantee in the industry quite simply because it has been tried and tested by previous customers all those years ago when we first started laying our Impressed Concrete drives, patios and paths!...and in any case would you really want to spend your hard earned money on any major purchase that would only be looked-after for 1 year?..We dont think so!!
Now, as mentioned our guarantee is subject to some simple conditions:
It is subject to you adhering to the curing times for our mixes and you are not allowed to spread additional compounds such as salt (which may have a corrosive effect). Of course any installation must be used with reasonable care and any maintenance required, usually in the form of a sealant applied to the surface, must be carried out to protect the installation. This is simply brushed on as it peels away usually after 6 months to 3 years depending on usage, and our customers do this themselves. You may also notice a slight colour change when the seal peels away because the raw coloured concrete will now be visible, but this colour should return once you re-seal.
A regular exclusion to most guarantees are of course consumables. That is to say those items that will take regular wear and tear on a daily basis. Of course the sealant is one as described above, and any mastic applied to cuts or joints in the concrete would be another.
The most misunderstood exclusion is fracture. This is because the fracturing of concrete is of course subject to many possible reasons. Not all of these are within our control, for example: Root intrusion, natural ground movements, inadequate subsoils, natural expansion and contraction of concrete or integral and peripheral items such as walls, drainage covers, manholes etc.
It is therefore prudent for us to ensure that we do 'the best' to what we DO have control over, to minimise the chance of fracture.

Excavation depths are of a primary concern so all of our load-bearing installations come with a 6 tonne load maximum. This is achieved by ensuring that we excavate to a maximum depth of up to 8 inches and then compact up to half this depth with a type 1 road stone, crushed rock or scalpings. This is to minimise air pocket entrapment that could lead to movements in the basework.
Our special concrete mixes are then poured. These mixes are subject to your particular specification, however they are air-entrained and Polypropylene Nylon Fibremesh reinforced for added strength, making them up to 20% more durable than ordinary rough-cast concrete mixes. Our regular and local recognised suppliers take care of all of this for you, prior to delivery of the mixes on site.
Finally, to allow for movements in the concrete we offer our customers the choice of placing expansion and contraction cuts into the concrete in strategic places where stresses may build. These cuts can be hidden within the lines of the pattern and are usually of minimal width.
Having done all of this we are assured that we have done everything within the specification to ensure the chances of fracture are minimal, however it is important to appreciate that we do not offer a guarantee against fracture in our mixes. What we can say is that our mixes are crack resistant, not crack proof.
Should the worst happen and the installation fracture, these are normally deemed as hairline, ie 1-3mm in width and will not cause the concrete any long-term measurable harm. A regular application of our sealant should keep out rainwater and any growths within the crack are like cress or single clover, that are simply plucked out. In time the fractures will 'dissappear' into the pattern or fill with natural dust and debris and become virtually invisible.
